BPS Govt. Medical College for Women, Khanpur Kalan is the second Government Medical College for girls in the country after a gap of almost 100 years as the Lady Harding Medical College was established in 1914. This is a matter of great pride as it is the first medical college for girls’ medical education after independence, which is a mile stone in the history of country.
The foundation stone of the Institute was laid down by Hon’ble Chairperson of UPA Smt. Sonia Gandhi on 1st March, 2009. The Institute has been built up by NBCC in 88 Acres land with cost of Rs. 374 crores in the record time of two years. Almost Rs. 50 crores have been spent on the state of art, machinery and equipments to provide the world class services in the health centre.
