About the Institute:
The Government have issued orders for construction of new Medical College and Hospital viz.,Rajiv Gandhi Insttue of Medical Sciences (RIMS).Ongole with an estimated cost of Rs.25 crores. The foundation stone was laid down on 01-07-2007 by the Honble Chief Minister Late Dr.Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy garu.
The erstwhile District Headquarters Hospital, Ongole with 200 beds was taken over under the administrative control of Director,RIMS, Ongole from 01-10-2008 and shifted to New RIMS premises at Bhagya nagar with 300 beds.
