S.S Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre is recognized Research Centre in the creation of new knowledge and therapies to improve human health from clinical trials to molecular biology research in identifying new drugs to fight major diseases. Research wing of SSIMS & RC’s is the gateway to all clinical trial activities in the Centre, dedicated to effective collaboration between industry and academia to advance care and the boundaries of health care treatment. We partner with patients, industries and investigators to identify appropriate resources to meet patient needs.Research wing assists biomedical science faculties in creating and building interdisciplinary collaborative research by providing access to facilities and expertise.

S.S. Institute of Medical Sciences & Research centre is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka with a intake permission for 150 seats from Medical council of INDIA.

SSIMS & RC was set up with the vision of being a Stage 4 referral hospital, and a Central Regional Hospital that takes care of the medical needs of the geographical area.

SSIMS & RC is devoted in developing a critical, self-reliant and inquiring approach to medicine, flexible enough to prepare the student for the evolving future, without forgetting the value of traditional means and practices. While the nurturing of future doctors and medical scientists of the world is a priority at large, SSIMS & RC always orients itself towards new in-roads into super-specialty areas that particularly benefit the rural population. Today we seek to bring the whole of central Karnataka under one medical umbrella, bringing to the doorstep of the poor, the latest medical facilities, as available anywhere in the world.
