KIMS Medical College is a private, self funded college to have earned final recognition from Medical Council of India as a Medical College, in the State of Andhra Pradesh with an intake of 150 Under Graduate admissions annually. KIMS Medical College / General Hospital is an ISO 9001:2008 certified institute. KIMS Medical College is going for enlistment in Avicenna Directories earlier known as WHO world directory of Medical Schools, Global Directories of Education Institutions for Health Professions - A partnership of WHO and University of Copenhagen

The Medical College was started in the year 2005 and obtained final recognition for its Under graduate (MBBS) degree course from Medical Council of India (MCI) and the Government of India in March, 2010 and consequently obtained permission from MCI & Govt. of India for starting Post Graduate (MD / MS) degree courses. Abundant clinical material is available to the students in the attached 800 bed teaching hospital KIMS General Hospital which is within the campus and it provides free treatment to all out patients and elective inpatients.
