About the Institute:
The James P Grant School of Public Health (JPGSPH) aims to transform the current system of health delivery through its commitment to contribute to high-quality education and research. Founded in 2004 as the public health wing under BRAC University, the School draws on the inspirational leadership of James P Grant, former executive director of UNICEF, after whom the institution is named. The focus of JPGSPH is to provide access to education, research, training and advocacy though integration and innovation. The School uses a multidisciplinary and cutting-edge approach which places experts in the service of society, and train the next generation of global and national health leaders. This practical conversion of knowledge at JPGSPH is applicable in both local and global contexts.
Vision:
The vision of the JPGSPH is to be the leading global public health institute for the world’s critical health challenges affecting disadvantaged communities. It aspires to become a worldwide leader in interdisciplinary global health education by promoting and providing public health, nutrition, midwifery and nursing education and training to harness knowledge and expertise in pursuit of health equity.

The schools main mission is to create innovative public health leaders and solutions through cutting-edge, experiential Education, Training, Research and Advocacy.
