About the Institute:
The Gauhati Medical College, the second medical college to be established in Assam, is also a health care institution in North East India. It provides medical education at undergraduate, postgraduate and specialty levels. The university offers a 5 1/2-year MBBS degree, which includes a one-year internship. It also offers both degree (3-year) and diploma (2-year) postgraduate medical courses. DM and Mch courses are also offered.
