Gobind Singh Medical College, Faridkot and its attached hospital were taken over by the Punjab Govt. from a private trust in 1978. The Medical college admits 50 students per year in MBBS course, nine post graduate students in the subjects. Gobind Singh Medical College, Faridkot has three main campuses visa-vis college complex, Hospital complex and Residential complex to provide latest diagnostic technique different laboratories in the department of Pathology, Biochemistry and Microbiology have been set-up where interest of the latest equipments has been made available. So the people needing critical care should have to go to other cities for treatment. To save the cancer patients a centrally sponsored cancer unit is under construction and is likely to be made available to the public shortly.s.
