About the Institute:
Government Medical College and Hospital, Nagpur was founded in 1947 in Nagpur. The college was affiliated with Nagpur University from 1947 to 1997, and subsequently Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik. Today, in addition to under graduation, the post graduation is available in almost all the disciplines. This medical college is first centre in India where Occupational Therapy and Physio therapy School was started. Its research activities are based on a community approach, oriented toward areas like maternal, neonatal, and child health care, infectious diseases, nutritional illnesses, and lifestyle disorders.
