The Gross National Happiness Commission is the Government of Bhutan’s Planning Commission and is charged with ensuring that GNH is mainstreamed into government planning, policy making and implementation. It uses tools such as the ‘GNH Screening Tool’ for assessing the suitability of all new government policies. Membership of the Commission includes the Prime Minister, the Minister of Finance and the Secretaries of all other departments. Its management and operation falls under the GNH Commission Secretary.

.The objective of GNH is to achieve a balanced and sustainable form of development which encompasses a range of domains each of which makes a vital contribution to our happiness This approach aims to balance modernity with tradition, material with spiritual, and economic with social, all within the broader context of ecological conservation

.Enabling participants to develop and experiential understanding of GNH by living in, and co-creating a conducive environment that is fully aligned with GNH principles and values.
Enabling participants to implement GNH inspired projects in their families, communities, villages, businesses, organizations, societies and/or countries.
