About the Institute:
In August 1967, the government abolished the LEMRENAS and MIPI. After that, the government pursuant to Decree No. MPRS 18 / B / 1967 formed LIPI and accommodating all the tasks of LEMRENAS and MIPI into this institution. As the development of national capacities in the field of science and technology, scientific institution in Indonesia has also experienced growth and development. In response, An overview and adjustment of the main tasks, functions and organizational structure of LIPI continued.
